This is a sweet circle of support for anyone on the birth journey, whether wishing to conceive, already pregnant or in post-natal recovery. This circle will be a combination of pre-natal/post-natal yoga, belly dance for birth and verbal sharing. For the dancing portion, we will learn fundamental belly dance moves, which moves to use when, how to guide a baby into optimal position, how to relax during contractions and why this technique works for all phases of the birth journey. A weekly practice helps the movements become a part of the body’s muscle memory so that a woman can glide easily into the dance during labor.
Each circle will also help everyone empower themselves for birth and parenthood as a rite of passage. We will connect with other mamas, receive mentoring and support, explore fears of birth and parenthood, learn how to move with those fears and visualize their ideal birth. Topics can include healing your own birth, making peace with your parents, viewing birth as a natural process, making your birth a ceremony, loving your mama body, connecting as couples, choosing a birth team and learning to ask for support.
(Payments are refundable / transferrable up until 10 days before the class ~ unless there are extenuating circumstances. Transferred credit must be used within 3 months.)
